  TGRR Bio

TGRR is an upcoming roller derby skater who joined the roller derby world at 36 after graduating with her MPA and is the TV Host "Talk Derby To Me" on CVT.

In June 2010, an everyday, conventional woman stepped onto the dirty, cement track of Carey Park and three grueling months later Ten Gauge Rachel Rage #245 was born. Since then, she became a formidable force as a blocker for NOtown Roller Derby league and their recreational team, The Huntington Harlots.

In January 2012, TGRR sustained an injury from roller derby practice breaking two fingers on her left hand and fracturing her wrist. In March 2012, TGRR departed from NOtown Roller Derby and then transferred to Central California Area Derby (CCAD) in Fresno, CA. TGRR currently skates with the V-Town Derby Dames and is a talk show host on Central Valley Talk Live "Talk Derby To Me" bringing you the Central Valley's first roller derby live online broadcasting talk show.

During her derby career, she has skated with some of the best skaters and participated in tournaments such as; Thankscrimmage 5 and 6 (2011 and 2012) hosted by the Prison City Derby Dames (PCDD), Crash in the New Year hosted by OC Roller Girls (2013), and a charity scrimmage called Red Red Holiday 5, 6, 7, and 8 (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013) hosted by the Sac City Roller Girls (SCRG). Red Red is a fundraising charity event to collect food for the Sacramento Food Bank and Yolo County Food Bank targeting the homeless. SCRG has donated and raised over $15, 000 in the past to various charity organizations.

Though TGRR is unstoppable on the track, she is also equally, if not more, astonishing off the track. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and in 2010 she received her Master’s degree in Public Administration (Leadership, Management, and Communications). When she is not skating, in her spare time she can be found promoting both online and offline for Stink Out as their Sales and Marketing Representative. TGRR also Co-Founded the Facebook group Derby Dish, and was formally the Marketing Director/Sponsorships Director with Central California Area Derby (CCAD).

TGRR is no stranger to life’s biggest challenges—she was a teenage mother and has raised her daughter, on her own, since she was 16—and thus she believes that with hard work, a little sweat, and some tears, anyone can accomplish anything. For years, the sport of roller derby has been promoting that same belief by empowering minority men, women, and children all over the globe of equality, which is what attracted TGRR to the sport. In fact, roller derby has inspired her to start her own business, LOCK & LOAD Roller Co., where she will be producing her own line of derby clothing called TGRR derby wear (debut is COMING SOON). She hopes that through her business she can promote the spirit of roller derby and encourage all men, women, and children to “Unleash their Rage.” In 2015, TGRR roller derby calender will be out and donating 20% of her calendar proceeds to her most well-deserved four non-profit organizations: The "Get EQUAL" Campaign, International Derby Officials' Organization (IDOO), Blockers Not Bullies, and Skaters Against Domestic Violence. Overall, TGRR is awesome and very inspiring, who is loved and adored by many. Keep ROCK'N it TGRR!
